Volunteer coordination
We connect students with hands-on volunteer opportunities at partner shelters, rescues, and community events.
Paws For A Cause is a student-led animal welfare organization based in Michigan. We help students support local shelters, rescues, and community animal organizations through volunteer service, supply drives, adoption awareness, and outreach.

Different work, same goal: meet shelters and rescues where they are and bring real help.
We connect students with hands-on volunteer opportunities at partner shelters, rescues, and community events.
We organize collections of food, blankets, toys, and other essentials and deliver them to partner organizations.
We share adoption information from local shelters and help spread the word about animals looking for homes.
We bring animal welfare awareness into schools, libraries, and community groups through student-led projects.
We started in 2025 and are still in our early chapter. Here is the work in front of us this season.
Continuing to grow steady working relationships with shelters, rescues, and community groups across Michigan.
Collecting and delivering supplies that partner shelters tell us they actually need.
Inviting more students to join service projects, with clear roles and parent/guardian permission where required.
Paws For A Cause was started in 2025 by a group of high school students in Okemos, Michigan who noticed that local shelters, rescues, and community animal groups often need more steady hands than they can find.
We are a student-led organization. We work with shelters and community partners, follow their guidance, and try to be useful in practical ways: showing up, sorting supplies, helping at events, and getting other students involved.
Read more about usEvery project follows roughly the same steps. Nothing flashy. Just steady, honest work.
We ask partner shelters and rescues what they actually need this month, then write it down.
We organize student volunteers, coordinate drop-off points, and confirm dates with our partners.
We run the drive or event, follow partner instructions, and deliver what was collected.
We share an honest recap and look at what could go better next time.
We support these organizations through volunteer hours, supply drives, and outreach. Each one is doing essential work in Michigan.
