How We Support Animal Welfare
PAWS FOR A CAUSE is a youth-led 501(c)(3) nonprofit. We don't run a shelter — we strengthen the ones that do. We connect volunteers with shelters, rescues, schools, and community organizations, and help our partners reach more people and animals through events, supply drives, fundraising, and outreach.
What we do
Practical ways we help partners
Volunteer mobilization
We connect students and community members with shelters, rescues, and programs that need dependable help, and make each opportunity clear with schedules, roles, age requirements, and preparation.
Event support
We recruit volunteers and provide support for adoption events, community programs, shelter activities, clinics, and outreach.
Supply & food drives
We organize community collections for the specific, approved items partner organizations request.
Outreach, awareness & fundraising
We raise visibility for adoptable animals and partner needs, and promote approved community fundraisers that bring in additional resources.
Youth leadership & lasting partnerships
We give students real responsibility and build recurring relationships that support partners over the long term.
